But your accuracy and control with the amount of cue ball follow will improve if your stroke is not above the center line, and your hand is relaxed and arm follows through smoothly.
We think the bridge hand needs some suppleness and variety with how it is utilized. The primary thing to all bridge hand positions is to be inflexible during your cue motion. Make sure you have a strong base foundation regarding position on the table. For many players it is a matter of doing what they are used to doing. However, we like to be prepared for all situations, and there will be times when you cannot use the standard closed loop bridge. There are times when you need to have more height than the closed bridge allows.
Hey - it happens from time to time! That is why it is smart to practice using both the closed and open bridge. Of course the more tips you can get the better so be sure to read up on billiards. That is great, but we suggest you learn and take action by practicing and playing others. You can elevate your game by choosing opponents who are more skilled than you.
